The short version
Water Eject collects nothing. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. The app never connects to the internet, so it works exactly the same in airplane mode.
What the app does
Water Eject plays a low-frequency tone through your device's speaker so the vibrating membrane pushes water droplets out of the speaker cavity. Everything happens locally on your device, using nothing but the audio hardware.
Data we collect
None. We do not collect, store, transmit, share, or sell any personal data. Concretely, the app has:
- No account, sign-in, or registration of any kind
- No analytics, telemetry, or third-party crash-reporting SDKs
- No advertising, advertising identifiers, or tracking, which is why you never see an App Tracking Transparency prompt: there is nothing to track
- No access to your microphone, camera, location, contacts, photos, calendar, or health data
- No network requests, no servers of ours, and no third-party services
What is stored on your device
The app saves a single setting on your device: whether the tone is currently playing. It lives in the app's own storage so that the Lock Screen Live Activity and the Control Center toggle can show the correct state. It never leaves your device, and it is removed when you delete the app.
Apple's role
Water Eject is distributed through the App Store. When you download or update an app, Apple collects data as described in Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to that data beyond the anonymous sales and download totals every developer sees.
If you have opted in to sharing analytics with developers on your device, Apple may provide us with aggregated, anonymised crash and usage reports. Those reports contain nothing that identifies you, and we cannot link them to an individual. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
Children
Water Eject is suitable for all ages. Because the app collects no data at all, it collects no data from children either.
Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new date at the top. Any material change will also be mentioned in the app's release notes.
